Argela Prepaid Watcher provides a new and easy way of monitoring and analyzing the prepaid traffic activity

  • Femtocell specific home zone services: When the mobile phone comes into range, the mobile phone camps on the femtocell and operator knows the presence of the subscriber hence triggers various web/voice services.
  • Connected home network services: Similarly, home devices are also triggered when the phone camps on the femtocell and enables sharing data and control with networked home electronics.

The pre-paid watcher collects the pre-defined KPI values and counters in real-time basis by sniffing the communication between the SCP and the network. Collected KPI values and the counters are kept in the history database for a pre-determined time period. The system continuously checks the actual traffic activity against the history and the user defined cases. The following is an example set of user defined cases:

  • Sleeping Network Node
  • Possible Fraud Detection towards Premium Number
  • SCP Performance Issue
  • Detection of the Cells with High Error Rates
  • Detection of One-way Audio

When an anomaly occurs the system immediatly detects the case and raises an appropriate notification towards the operator’s O&M system.
