Argela Pre-paid Watcher provides a new and easy way of monitoring and analyzing the pre-paid systems. It collects real-time counters by sniffing the communication between the SCP and the network. KPIs are used to pinpoint the problem areas and to generate alarms and comprehensive reports.

Use Case: SCP Performance
The aim of this case is to detect any performance issues for an SCP.

Current average response times of SCPs are compared to the historic data and if the deviation is higher than the operator defined threshold an alarm is generated.

Use Case: Detection of the Cells with High Error Rates

The aim of this case is to detect the Call Setup Success Rate anomalies per network node
A network node may be:

• Cell
• MSC
• SCP
• System

Call Setup Success Rates are compared to operator defined acceptable rates and if the deviation is higher than the operator defined acceptable rates an alarm is generated.

Use Case: Possible Fraud Detection towards Premium Number

The aim of this case is to detect a possible fraud towards premium numbers.

Total call durations towards a specific profile prefix within an operator-defined time period are used for detection.

Current total call durations are compared to the historic data and if the deviation is higher than the operator defined threshold an alarm is generated.
