A patented technology innovation: Convergence Gateway (CGW)

Argela’s Fixed-Mobile Convergence Solution is provided by a patented  technology innovation called Convergence Gateway(CGW). It enables wireless and wireline network operators to extend their various voice and other traditional services,while introducing new multimedia services of Internet domain to broadband and IMS users.

 

Argela’s CGW offers SIP-to-mobile and SIP-to-fixed convergence applications for mobile and fixed operators. This enables operators to provide their customers with network and location agnostic access to their services without any change or investment in their core network.

Video IVR

 

Argela Multimedia Interactive Services Platform (MISP) is Argela’s Video IVR solution. Argela MISP, together with Argela CGW, enables telecom operators to provide multimedia value added services to their subscribers along with video call. Using MISP, telecom operators can also offer services through 3rd party service providers.

 

IMPS

 

Argela Service-Enabled Convergent Presence and Messaging Server

 

Argela provides the first-in-the-market service-enabled and in-a-box solution for presence and messaging services that is IMS compliant. With a flexible messaging SIP client, presence server, IM server, messaging gateway server, ready-made services, and a proven presence-service-delivery platform for delivery of creative 3rd party presence and messaging services, Argela makes offering presence and IM services easy.

 

The platform is compliant with IMS SIP, SIMPLE and XCAP protocols. It provides services capabilities to different devices such as PC, PDA, and cell phone in a convergent architecture where it translates presence and messaging across different device technologies.

 

VCC

 

Voice Call Continuity is an IMS application that provides capabilities to hand over session control between a CS network and PS network, or other Access Network types. VCC provides functions for voice call originations, voice call terminations and for domain transfers between the CS domain and the IMS and vice versa.

 

VCC Suite comprises of a VCC Application and a VCC Client.

 

Example of a Converged Service: WIROFON

 

Using the capabilities of CGW, WIROFON offers a wireless/wireline solution that enables customers to make calls from their dual-mode handsets with the Wi-Fi support feature irrespective of their location, and also in the absence of a SIM card in the handset.

 

In addition to dual mode handsets, this service is available on a PC and any SIP
based phone.  Accessible through the Internet, it provides the users with quite cheaper tariffs and enables them to stay connected, even if they are abroad.
