CommsMEA “New Telecom Service of the Year”
Turk Telekom’s WIROFON service won the CommsMEA “New Telecom Service of the Year” which is given to an operator for a particularly innovative or successful service that has been launched in the last year. The award-winning service is running on Argela’s patented technology innovation-Convergence Gateway.
WIROFON is a wireless service that enables Turk Telekom customers to make calls from their dual-mode handsets with the Wi-Fi support feature irrespective of their location, and also in the absence of a SIM card in the handset. In addition to dual mode handsets, this service is available on a PC and any SIP based phone. Accessible through the Internet, it provides the users with quite cheaper tariffs and enables them to stay connected, even if they are abroad.
The technology behind this service is Argela’s Convergence Gateway. It removes the boundaries of telecom by helping network operators expand their market beyond their geographical area and allowing them to launch new, innovative, revenue-generating services.

Oracle PartnerNetwork Innovation Award EMEA 2008

rgela has been honoured with Oracle PartnerNetwork Innovation Award for Europe, Middle East and Africa. The award-winning solution is called Multimedia Sponsored Call, which is part of the Targeted Advertisement Platform offered by Argela. Conceived for the Telecommunications industry the solution gives operators freedom and flexibility to introduce enhanced ad-supported call and messaging services. Moreover it offers the ultimate targeting and profiling potential for advertisers – direct reach to accurately identified profiles. End-users also benefit: They get free or discounted communication, content or services when they watch or listen the ad.
Multimedia Sponsored Call, being one of the 58 applicants from 16 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa, won the attention of EMEA Innovation Board, made up of 14 Oracle senior managers across all Oracle EMEA countries and lines of business, which evaluates awards submissions from Oracle partners.

Argela is Awarded with KOBI Great Award of TESID
Argela, with its Convergence Gateway, has been deemed worthy as the winner of the KOBI Great Award of TESID(Turkish Electronical Manufacturers Assossiation) as a part of TESID’s annual Innovative Creativity Awards. Mr.Bulent KAYTAZ, CEO of Argela, has been given the award during the ceremony at Kadir Has University on the night of 6th December, 2007.
